Dear Parents,
Today our class worked on a special project for February 7th bulletin board. It will be our turn to decorate the bulletin board. The Torah portion for next week is Parshat Mishpatim, The portion tells us of the delivering of the legal code of laws and commandants. In honor of the portion, there was a class discussion of Tzaar Baalei Chayim - Compassion toward all living creatures. The children shared how they take care of their pets. The care included loving, playing, feeding, walking and giving their pet a warm and safe place to live. Each child colored, cut and assembled their own dog. The finished project will be put up next Sunday on the bulletin board by the upstairs office. Please come by and check out their work!
Rabbi continued his story of Joseph. The new prayer books capture the children's attention even if they can't read!
Spencer is teaching the class the Shema and other prayers used in the service along with fun songs!
We do collect Tzedkah every Sunday!
